Dr. June Liau
Miss Liau is the founder and senior partner of our firm. She was admitted to the then Supreme Court of Hong Kong and was also admitted to the Supreme Courts of England and Wales, Victoria, Australia and Singapore. Miss Liau is a law graduate of the University of Hong Kong. Miss Liau’s experience is mainly in litigation, company and commercial law. Miss Liau received her Master of Business Administration (with a specialization in Leadership) from the University of Southern Queensland and a Doctorate in Leadership and Management. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ilm).

Miss Liau is also a Notary Public and a Marriage Celebrant.

Miss Liau was appointed by the Chief Justice as a member of the Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal Panel (1994 – 2007).

Miss Liau was the vice-president of the Hong Kong Federation of Women’s Lawyers (1996 – 1998).

Dr. Hugo Chan 
Dr. Chan graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Southampton in England in 1978.  Prior to joining this firm as a partner, he served his articles and worked as a solicitor with Messrs.  Johnson, Stokes & Master between 1979 and 1986.  He joined this firm as a partner in April 1986.  Dr. Chan was admitted a solicitor of the then Supreme Court of Hong Kong in 1981, a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1986 and a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Australia Capital Territory in February 1991.  He has obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in China Law at the East Asia University of Macau.  Dr. Chan’s major areas of experience are Property, Corporate and China related matters.

Dr. Chan is a member of the Law Society Great China Legal Affairs Committee.  He is an appointed Legal Advisor to Shenzhen Overseas Chinese.  Dr. Chan is an appointed Attesting Officer of The People’s Republic of China and is also a Notary Public. He is Vice Chairman of the Law Committee of the Chamber of International Commerce Zhenzhen. Dr. Chan holds an Honorary Doctor Degree of Letters from Olivert Nazarene University, USA.

Mr. Louis Pong
Mr. Pong joined this firm in October 1987 and is now one of the partners.  He studied law in London and was admitted as a solicitor of the then Supreme Court of Hong Kong in March 1986.  He was awarded a Diploma in China Law by the University of East Asia, Macau in April, 1989.  He was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in November 1989 and a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory in April 1991.  Before joining this firm he worked as a solicitor with Messrs. Johnson, Stokes & Master.  He has wide exposure and experience in conveyancing, litigation, probate and commercial laws.  Mr. Pong was also admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in September 1991.  Mr. Pong received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland in 2009.

Mr. Kelvin Li
Mr. Li graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1991, and was admitted as a solicitor of the then Supreme Court of Hong Kong in 1993.  Mr. Li joined our firm as an associate in 1996 was admitted to partnership in 2015. He now concentrates on project and general conveyancing and New Territories land transactions.

Mr. William Loo
Mr. Loo graduated from the City University of Hong Kong in 1992 and was admitted as solicitor of the then Supreme Court of Hong Kong in 1994.  He was conferred a Postgraduate Certificate in the Laws of the People’s Republic of China by the University of Hong Kong in 1994.  He was enrolled as solicitor in the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2000 and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).  His main areas of practice are in commercial, banking and civil litigation.

Mr. William J. Drake
William Drake is a law graduate of Cambridge and Hong Kong University. He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1980 and in Hong Kong in 1985. He is an Accredited Mediator, a Risk Management Tutor with the Law Society of Hong Kong and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators.  His practice is wide ranging in general commercial litigation, including contract disputes, employment matters and insolvency.

Miss Claire Wong
Miss Claire Wong graduated from the City University of Hong Kong and was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1998. Thereafter she was appointed as notary public in 2010. Her focus is in commercial work, due diligence, acquisitions as well as litigation.

Miss Sandy Wong J.P.
Ms. Sandy Wong is a consultant at Liau, Ho & Chan, and former consultant and Head of Legal of Maxim's Caterers Limited.

She is the Past President of Hong Kong Federation of Women Lawyers and current Chair of its Women’s Rights Committee, Anti-Human Trafficking Committee, Co-chair of Law Reform Committee and Charity Committee. She is advisor to The Alumni Association of the School of Law of the City University of Hong Kong and Institute of Active Ageing of Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She is a director of Legal Education Trust. She is a member of Social Enterprise Advisory Committee, Town Planning Board, Steering Committee on Review of the Regulation of Private Healthcare Facilities, Audit Committee of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, the Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board, Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health, Competition Commission, a council and court member of Hong Kong Baptist University, and Vice Chair of Human Organ Transplant Board.

Mr. Philip Tam
Mr. Tam completed his post-graduate certificate in law with the City University of Hong Kong in 2005, and was admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong in 2006. Mr. Tam also holds an LLM and an MSC degree from the University of Hong Kong.
